Jumping around...

Spring watch has a big impact on my little family of three.  It opens my children's eyes to all the wonderful riches around us.  The beauty of nature at this time of year just takes my breath away.  Please forgive my lack of posting and I thank you personally for the caring emails I have received.  Its been a busy couple of weeks, a school holiday, which of course involved some beach time and a fabulous camping trip with friends.  Nothing beats curling up under a quilt in the great outdoors around a real fire toasting a couple of marshmallows with good friends...

My creative vibe and even my photography are somewhat at a standstill.  I feel I am drowning in responsibility at present as I adjust and indeed sort out my life as a single parent.  Its not easy and indeed its not very pleasant.  The bonds that tie my boys and me together are stronger than ever, I get cuddles from them all the time, its as if the tighter we hold each other the safer we will be.

My head is so full of ideas and the frustration of lack of time is something I think we can all identify with.  So whilst I find a balance in my life that I am comfortable with I ask you to forgive the lack of correspondence from the 'Suzie Sews Household'.  I am still here, I am still being a Mom, still cooking, sewing and knitting...just not as much as I would like as I get lost in paperwork, meetings, financial worries and solicitors!!!

Making things is what calms my soul, it is a part of who I am, I know it want be long till I slip back into the comforting flow that is my 'creative spirit'.

What a fabulous little frog picture Suzie. Springwatch is fantastic I agree. I hope life balances out sooner than you think. x

Your photo is beautiful Suzie. I can't imagine how hard it is during this adjustment phase. I hope things fall into place soon so you can have more time for your creative side. ;-)

We've really enjoyed Springwatch too - Minx has spent ages talking to the frogs in our little 'pond in a whisky barrel' :-)

I hope things start to settle down for you soon. I've been feeling just the same (but for different reasons) lately and rest assured the energy and motivation to craft comes back in full.

Take care of yourself xxx

Love that frog photo...so tiny, so precious, we can feel its heartbeat along with our own...amazing. But so glad you're here, and I was glad you stopped by to see me. :o) With so much to do and think about it's not always easy finding a way to balance everything. I think you handle it all with much grace. I hope you find the balance that works for you and the boys. It easy to become consumed, overwhelmed with things...sometimes relaxing the mind even a little helps. And so does a dose of crafting. ;o) Happy Days ((HUGS))

My children loved Springwatch - they've been out watching hedgehogs in the garden each evening. Lovely!

I hope life begins to sort itself out soon. You'll get through it.

A very good friend of mine who is going through a very similar situation also suffered a loss of creativity - she's about a year ahead of you and is just getting it back now - fear not - it will return!!xxx

so sweet and small. i love holding something this small in my hand and feeling it breathe. listening and feeling that tiny breath brings back my connection with the magical.

after a little looking around your blog, i'm off to explore kirsty and see, first, why she got bad reviews and, second, why she sparked you to make such a lovely quilt. i'll be back around for more in the future.
