Well its all over...the end of term is finally here...the presents got finished, the last minute PTA events got attended to and the goodbye service to the last class about to take the next big step in their world was filled with tears... So its here at last...the start of the summer holidays...filled with promise, promise of long summer days, eating ice cream and feeling the sand on our skins, BBQ's in the fresh air, camping and meeting up with friends and family...
Most of all, not looking at the clock, days and days of just going with the flow...time to chill, to read with my children, to take slow walks and eat pic-nics and lots craft activities...
Its the best time of year and the start of the holidays is by far the most exciting time...
So whilst I get into my summer groove I am going to be off line for a few days. I need to get into the flow of being free from living by the clock, to reconnect with my little family, to establish the ground rules and to get on with some serious 'making' time. So many things are planned for the summer, I have some goals I want to achieve with the children...learning to tie shoe laces, reading and improving writing, working on the joy of photography with my eldest child and lots of sewing and knitting for me...so please bear with me and I shall be back soon with all the news...Enjoy the summer and take time out to create...create a mess, learn something new or just simply follow your dreams...to me this is what summer is all about...

Mine don't break up until Wednesday, but I can't wait to be free of those morning rushes, bedtime nagging, and 3 o'clock downpours at the school gates!
Have a wonderful time. x
Have a great summertime. x
i love this new idea of giving teachers presents- I do get a bit sick of people inventing a new thing to celebrate each week( I'M A BIG SCROUGE!)but this is something sensible to start!
Hope your summer is all you dream of and more.
X Clare
What lovely presents. Your boys teachers are very lucky :-) Have a great summer Suzie x
Oh how I envy you - we are still in full on end of term mode at the moment. Every day has a different party/picnic/ leavers do/ assembly etc - all of which I love, but I am struggling to remember who has to be where when and what they need with them! Add to that the fact that my youngest has a virus and is all blotchy and miserable if she's not in bed, and I'm sure you can understand why I just can't wait for next week and it all to just STOP!
Looking foward to hearing about your summer

Have a lovely break, Suzie. Yay! Summer! We are off for our first picnic and an afternoon at the pool in about an hour's time ... rock buns are made, eggs are hardboiling and tomatoes are washed. Summer here we come!
enjoy your break!
