Failure to function...

Failure to function...yes all around me is either not working or playing me up, everything from my cooker (still not working, that will be over a month now) my photo printer, the strimmer and to top the lot my computer... So this is just a post to let you know that I am dealing with the matter and I will hopefully be on to normal posting and reading of my favourite blogs once the computer is back up and running... If I have not replied to any emails please understand that I am unable too at present, sorry! I soooooooo want to get this thing back to normal...scary how much my blog and photographs are so much a part of my day, I am praying I am not going to lose my photographs. All this is not helped by the post holiday blues, if you know me you will know that I always find it a little hard to get back in to a good rhythm once I have been away, especially on a beach holiday...how I wish I lived a little nearer to the beach...In the mean time I am filling in the void that has been left by my computer's failings...I have been doing lots of gardening...I am knitting up a storm and I have sewn for myself my summer bag...another Suzie Sews tradition...make a bag to mark each season, use it all that season and from then on that bag holds more than belongings...a whole heap of memories!

AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!All my bookmarked blogs have been deleted...so I have lost quite a lot of my regular blog reads...does anyone know how I can get this back and is there any way I can save them so it does not happen again? I know I will have lost some favourites for good, I am trying to remain positive and I am hoping to discover some new ones, please feel free to send me your link so I can bookmark it to start getting back my list... I am off for a cold glass of wine to keep myself calm whilst I watch the computer man do his stuff...

What a nightmare! Sorry can't help with anything technical but hope you get it all sorted soon.
Fab croc-tastic picture! I really want some lime green ones. :o)

Well, if you read blogs using a blog reader like bloglines or google reader, your favorites list is stored on the internet and not on your computer. That would help with the future, but sadly not with the current loss.

Oh bummer! I was going to suggest google reader too.

Good luck with the recovery!

This happened to me on AOL, all my favourites and saved e-mails suddenly disappeared. I just had to start all over again and suffer the loss. It is so annoying, and I can't explain why it happens. I like all the crocs lined up, lovely colours together. I am sure you all had great fun on half term. x

Ick - what a horrible time your gizmos and gadgets are giving you. Good luck with getting the computer trouble sorted - glad to see your priorities are spot on - 'puter first....before the cooker :)

I hope you enjoy your extra crafty time though.

Hope things are getting sorted, I hate it when my computer plays up like it was doing all last week!!
But more sewing time instead sounds just as good.

Sorry to hear about your poota problems Suzie - hope you manage to get it sorted soon. I use Google Reader to keep a check on my favourite blogs - not only does it keep all the URLs for me, it tells me when someone has made a new post. I recommend it.

This sort of thing is a lesson to us all to BACK UP on cds!

Thinking of you. x

I lost all my bookmarked blogs not so long ago too- it was horrible. Someone told me it was a chance for a clear out , I've since found all my faves ( well I think I have ) plus a few new ones. I had to go back through posts and also count on what you asked for , them leaving a link

AOL lost all my favs last year and now I use bloglines.
I'll see if there's a way to send you/give you access to my bloglines list and you might be able to find some of your favs there.
