Such Sadness....

So it has begun...the Christmas feel is well and truly in the air around here. The Christmas fair went well and the Children met with Santa, this post was going to be all about the Christmas glow that had started to shine in the Suzie Sews household.

Sadly today I received such sad news. A friend I knew whom had been battling very hard against cancer sadly passed away this weekend. So forgive me for this post. Amy, was an amazing mother, she leaves two children (who are around the same age as mine) behind. We both had our second child at the same time and I met her through the National Childbirth Trust.

I am at a loss for words now so feel it is best I leave it there. Goodbye Amy, your love, inspiration and joy for life will go on in the hearts of many...

I just cannot believe it - it's just so sad at any time, but for Amy to be taken from her family and her lovely children just before Christmas is totally wrong. Why?????

Suzie - I lost my best friend who I'd also met through NCT at a similar stage in both our lives to pancreatic cancer - she was 37 and left 4yo and 7yo daughters and a totally bereft husband. I know exactly where you are and feel for you so much. I honestly think that cancer is the devil personified, a wicked, wicked thing. Sending you huge hugs along the cyberwaves. Be strong for her family and hold your own that bit closer (((hugs)))

ps Little pinkie will be featuring in future postings, he's very happy on top of my coffee grinder (out of grubby little fingers' way!)

Hugs to you, Suzie, I am so sorry. I also lost a dear friend the same age as me, with children the same age as mine earlier this year. Cancer is very, very cruel.

So sorry to read such sad news. There's no good time for something like that, but just before Christmas seems especially cruel.

I am so sorry to hear of your sad news, I always feel so sad when I hear of someone so young passing away, I am sure Amy battled against this most cruel illness for the sake of her two lovely children, who will greatly miss their mummy. My heart goes out to all her family and friends. x
