I think the hardest part is realising that my little boy is now becoming an adult (apart from the hormones making him smell bad) and that my time being special to him wont last as long as I want it to. I had to laugh when I saw all the little props put around your girly space too. Boys always seem to try and do these things to make you laugh or to be annoyed but I am sure you would miss it if they didnt do it.Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02893692345113831018noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1364752654828813449.post-14485859933499543112009-03-30T15:35:00.000-07:002009-03-30T15:35:00.000-07:00My son was a huge Leo fan until the age of about 1...My son was a huge Leo fan until the age of about 12 - sadly it is now packed away as he has too much homework now. Just been re-looking at your piccies, and have just noticed strange things in the last one- is it just me or is there a green witches face and black cat with yellow eyes amongst all that mess?! We live in a little house so if I left it for a day we might drown in stuff! There are also A LOT of sticky pictures produced by my three year old. Even if I tidy it up she manages to mess it up again in no time and I can see my son is going the same way......but as the messy apple doesn't fall far from the tree I can't really blame them..my sewing room...messy??!French Knotshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14151593113968041304noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1364752654828813449.post-88752367950291022682009-03-26T16:44:00.000-07:002009-03-26T16:44:00.000-07:00Apart from the gorgeous fabric stash, those piccie...Apart from the gorgeous fabric stash, those piccies could so easily be my house! Our latest craze here is for Go-go Crazy bones and they regularly end up in the bath, under foot or even in my knitting bag! I can vouch for both girls and boys being messy, although my just 2 year old yesterday tutted when a boyfriend of hers emptied a box of toys onto the floor, then she crossed her arms and very crossly said "goodness sake" to him so I guess that although I like to think of myself as fairly laid back about it all, the truth always comes from the mouths of babes!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1364752654828813449.post-41744231191674653292009-03-26T15:59:00.000-07:002009-03-26T15:59:00.000-07:00Loved the unexpected things you found in your girl...Loved the unexpected things you found in your girly spaces. So many of your photos and so much of what you said brought back memories for me - the constant Lego underfoot, the mess, the burping and farting jokes (actually, that bit hasn't changed!) As the only female in our house I do occasionally feel a bit alien, but I just love how they are what they are.

Oh, and, I am coveting your fabric cupboard...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1364752654828813449.post-85269974864662490472009-03-26T00:31:00.000-07:002009-03-26T00:31:00.000-07:00Ahh my (shared) lovely boys...:)I got such a gorge...Ahh my (shared) lovely boys...:)I got such a gorgeous sense of them both from what you said and the pics bud...xxx
As the years go by I am getting less obsessive compulsive (no laughing - i really am!) in my tidying inclinations and much better at seeing the fun behind the mess - having one obsessed with boxwork has helped with that as she takes our boxes to school only to return with what seems like everyone elses contributions :P - it's like living in a recycling plant!!! love you buddy. xxxAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1364752654828813449.post-21263461727538946102009-03-25T14:45:00.000-07:002009-03-25T14:45:00.000-07:00I've got 2 boys too, believe it or not the eldest ...I've got 2 boys too, believe it or not the eldest is really tidy , he tuts at me if I don't put my nightie under the pillow lol, I think the youngest is going to be messy though bit too soon to tell...
lisa xAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1364752654828813449.post-10988130574130883462009-03-25T11:58:00.000-07:002009-03-25T11:58:00.000-07:00I don't think it is just boys - my three monsters ...I don't think it is just boys - my three monsters are extremely untidy - and I too have little lego people falling in my bath on a regular basis. Whatever you're doing, it sounds just perfect -- I wish my boys had been a bit more "creative". I feel like I failed them somehow that way -- I must have been too busy sewing myself or something.
